Vudu has been a simple way to rent digital TV and movies from home for over a decade since Fandango acquired it.
How does it work?
Vudu categorizes its material into Movies, TV, and Free content. Some platforms, such as Roku, have tabs for Deals and Collections. Deals collect the most significant bargains that happen on the forum.
Users can view a wide variety of content by sliding through category titles. Users can see more category titles by clicking “View All” at the end of the sliding panel.
How do you rent content on Vudu?
When you choose a movie on the platform, you may either rent or buy it. You will then be asked to select the quality of your stream.
Vudu supports up to 4K Ultra HD video (if your internet connection is fast enough to handle it). Video content is available in standard definition (SD), high definition (HDX), and 4K Ultra HD (UHD).
How do you watch free movies and TV on Vudu?
Vudu’s free content is identified with a “Free with ADS” flag. You may rent the film to skip the ads or watch it in 4K if you prefer. Just click the Rent rather than the Watch for Free button.
How much do rentals cost on Vudu?
You can rent or buy Vudu movies in SD, HD, or UHD quality. Rentals may vary in price depending on the video quality. In most cases, you may rent UHD titles at the exact cost of SD or HD. New releases and UHD content, however, may occasionally be more expensive. This is particularly true for movies that are still in cinemas. During a pandemic, more movies than ever are being aired early via streaming.
To wrap things out
Vudu is available to download on most devices. If you own an iOS device running iOS 10 or above, you will have access to Vudu. Vudu was also recently added to the Google Play store.
You can easily rent or buy movies on Vudu. You can also view and share trailers for Vudu content. Vudu works on several platforms and devices, including Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, iOS, Android TV, and the web.
The advantage of Vudu over other online movie rental services, such as Netflix, is that you can search for a specific movie by its director or title, watch trailers and read synopses of Vudu content.
