MLB.com “At Bat” is one of the most excellent sports apps available. It’s a must-have app for any baseball fan. The information gathered by the app is based on data from MLB.com, so you can already find that information elsewhere. This is particularly helpful if you’re having trouble tracking our national pastime while you’re out and about and only have a smartphone.

Subscription

Even though Major League Baseball advertises the At Bat Premium subscription as a must-have feature, many people believe they must pay $19.99 per season to get the most out of it.

The free version of At Bat benefits almost all baseball enthusiasts. With At Bat, you can see everything you need in a baseball game in less than five minutes, and if you educate yourself on it, you’ll be able to do the same.

How to Use?

When you first open MLB.com At Bat, you’ll be greeted with a screen asking whether you have an MLB.com At Bat subscription or want to sign up for one if you’ve already subscribed to MLB.TV, the premium features will be worth the subscription fee.

Once you’ve installed the app to follow your favorite major league baseball team, you’ll arrive at the Scoreboard screen, where you can keep track of all games being played that day. You’ll immediately see starting times, pitching lineups, and current scores if the games are taking place.

You can specify how frequently and at what event you want to be notified about your favorite team on the Notification screen.

You can also get more information on specific games by tapping on them. You can purchase tickets to the game or get more information on the team’s website. The Buy Tickets button will take you directly to the team’s ticket purchasing section.

Of course, the fantasy baseball enthusiast cannot be forgotten. When creating your lineup for the week, you need to be up to date on the latest baseball news.

User Interface

The MLB At Bat app has a straightforward user interface. You may skip forward and backward during the day to see previous scores and upcoming games or simply see the games scheduled for the day. When you click on a game box, you’ll get a data screen with information about the game and buttons to view other data sets.

You can get pitch-by-pitch descriptions, game box scores, field positions, play-by-play descriptions, or video content. Live video is not accessible on Android, unlike the iPhone edition.

Gameday Audio

During the preseason, some games do not offer an audio feed, or you may only receive one team’s broadcast. Your Menu button takes you to a second screen where you can select your options. During the regular season, you will be allowed to choose whether you want the home or away team’s broadcast, which is quite impressive.

Conclusion

Major League Baseball is America’s favorite pastime. And part of being a loyal baseball fan is being able to keep track of the game while you’re away from home.

This is where MLB.com At Bat comes in. The app is available for Android and iOS, and it lists every game as it happens and gives you a few minutes of pre-game analysis, allowing you to get the most out of your day.

If you have an MLB.com At Bat Premium subscription, you can also get the game’s audio in progress through your MLB At Bat app.
